life without television

Our television broke down,and so my brother sent it for repair. I thought it will be a boring night without it,but actually,nights are better without it. First night without television,my dad,bro and I take turns to go online,since there is only one PC and one internet line huhu then,nights after that,my dad seems to conquer the PC the whole night **sigh~~ and so,my brother went out and me,trying very hard to figure out other activities. Amazingly, I can't find one. Suddenly my life become bored without television. But then, I found myself involve in a lot of thinking and flashback.

The television is out,but the radio is there,lying on the shelves,looking old :p I switched it on and tuned to Lite FM. It feels like I'm in the 80's in our old house. During that time,cable tv doesn't exist. There are only 3 tv channels,and not so many entertainment programs on air at night. Besides,my brother and I were not allowed to watch television at night.  It was homework/study session for us. And so,my mother will switched on the radio instead.

As I was laying around in the living room,trying to figure out any activities, I was thinking,there are lots of things we can do than wasting our time in front of the television. I went to the book shelves and grab one of my Reader's Digest series and start to read. Then, I just realised there are a few articles that I missed,or maybe I skipped it (don't remember) because it didn't look interesting that time. But actually,they are not that bad at all :)

I even have the time to practice my piano. Well,actually,I do have a lot of time to practice before,but they have been wasted in front of the television. There you go, 'the bad influence of television' haha
People will say,if you don't have a television,you won't know what happen to the world. WRONG!! That is why Newspapers were invented!!! Besides, don't you know,the 'news people' get their news from the internet?? lalalala

My conclusion is,life won't be that miserable without television. Why don't you try it out.... ^_^

P/S: I remember my dad told my bro and me "Watching too much of television make you stupid. The view of you watching the television looks stupid as well.  Your brain shuts down from everything but the television. Too much of television will kill you someday"
